XK-5 MacBook Charger

• The XK- 5 MacBook charger is a pragmatic solution.
• The XK-5 has the ability to charge five batteries at same time. You are able to have batteries ready for any classroom/student during the day. Turn it on. Put the batteries in the battery bays. Charge away. Flashing green is charging, solid green means the battery is charged. Each bay is independent of the others.
• A completely drained battery will take approximately 1 hour to recharge.
• The XK-5 has 1 calibration bay.
  As the battery ages, it does not hold as much of a charge as when the battery is new. The PMU (power management unit) in the MacBook knows only the original "state of charge" until the battery is re-calibrated to the current "state of charge". When the MacBook battery needs to be calibrated, there is an amber LED which will alert you when calibration is necessary. The bottom 2 bays are charging/calibration bays. Put the battery in one of these bays, press the red buttom. This will make the fuel gauge in the menu bar accurate.
• Wake Up feature. When the XK-5 reads a dead battery, a small current (500 mamps) is applied for 5 minutes attempting to put a charge into the dead battery. If the battery voltage can be raised, then the charging circuit can start to work. This can possibly revive batteries which appear dead after a long recess.
• All aluminum chassis and the small footprint makes it easy to fit on a shelf. Measurements are 11.75 W x 11 High x 10.5 D inches. 90-240 VAC input. We can provide the ac cord for your country. For example, we have shipped to UK, Germany, Australia, Columbia.
